This month is a very important topic for our industry. We have two amazing speakers showing us some ways we can help make the web and our industry a more diverse and inclusive place for everyone as Bethan Vincent and Jessica Kelsall take the stage.

Bethan is currently the Marketing Director at Netsells, but was previously working for our long-time-sponsor Bytemark. In her talk, she will be showing us the unique way Bytemark approached hiring. More specifically, “What I learnt about hiring diverse teams from conducting a fully-anonymous recruitment process”.

Following this, Jessica will be talking about, “Web Design that Doesn’t Make Trans People Uncomfortable”. Web forms, account profiles, and anything else that asks for our names and gender could be problematic for trans people if handled incorrectly. Jessica will show us how to design for the web in ways that are conscious of LGBT gender issues, leading to a more inclusive experience for everyone.
