Our next event…

Tools: GIT & Chrome Debugging 🛠

Mining Institute
We've got two great speakers this month Chris Kemper will be talking to us about git and Damian Nicholson will be taking us on a tour of Chrome's developer tools!

About Us

Frontend NE is a free, monthly meetup about frontend web development, based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

With great talks from some of the best developers in the North East, and the usual trip to the local pub to wash it all down afterwards; it’s always a good night. So come along, the pizzas and beers are on us!

We meet at The Mining Institiute on the first Thursday of each month. In the meantime, why not follow us on Twitter, or sign up to our mailing list

Call for speakers

We’re always on the lookout for new speakers. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned veteran or this would be your first talk, if you have something you feel passionate about, we want to hear from you! Need a little help getting started? We have you covered.

Thanks to our amazing sponsors we can also provide support for travel and accommodation for speakers outside of the North East.

As far as topics go, as long as it’s related to frontend, we’re happy: From CSS to HTML, JavaScript frameworks to Web Components, testing to tooling, accessibility to performance. We’re open to suggestions!

Location

We’re based in The Mining Institute, just round the corner from Central Station. Not sure exactly where that is? Check it out on our map.

After the event we head off to the pub for another drink, to discuss the event and put the frontend world to rights. Even if you can’t make it to the event you’re more than welcome to join us in the pub afterwards. We should be there from about 8pm.
