Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday to us, Happy birthday Frontend NE, Happy birthday to us. That’s right, it’s Frontend NE’s first birthday! And because it’s such a huge occasion, we’re doing something different: Javascript talks!

Okay, so maybe it’s not that different. Truth is we kinda forgot our own birthday and two of us are off on our holidays. But don’t worry, you’re in more-than-capable hands.

The talks

This month we have Joe Norman taking us through using JavaScript for server-side programming. There are a huge number of Node.js frameworks available, which can be quite daunting, but fear not! Joe’s here to keep us right.

Micheal Harker will then be talking about how web sockets can be adopted and embraced by websites of any size and how it might help with performance and security.
